Holidays to Florida
There is much more to the Sunshine State than the sun and Mickey Mouse. Even though visitors can count on enjoying more than 800 miles of sandy beaches and world-famous theme parks in both Tampa and Orlando, the state has even more to share with those who take their holidays in Florida.
Florida holidays extend to those visiting an array of remote and charming towns, an assortment of accommodation, mounds of fresh seafood and a plethora of outdoor activities. Enjoying the natural scenery of Clam Pass Country Park, which can be found in downtown Naples, or the spectacular Everglades National Park are two of the more unique ways to enjoy holidays in Florida.
Florida is one of those places that it seems as though everyone has been to. You will be left out of the loop if you are not able to swap stories about Disney World, the great accommodation you discovered, the Everglades, the beautiful Panhandle beaches or the cold spring waters at Ichetucknee.
As well as being known for the sun, sand and surf, Florida is also recognized as being the home to Disney World, the Florida Keys and South Beach, which is considered one of the trendiest places in the world. Florida is also known as the starting point for many cruises.
The north central part of Florida is where tourists can discover Tallahassee, the state’s capital. It is filled with many opportunities to explore, including its world class museums. The Suwannee River runs through Tallahassee, providing residents and visitors with activities such as cave diving and fishing.
North-East Florida is where tourists will find the state’s largest city, Jacksonville. This region is also home to the oldest city in America, St. Augustine, the headquarters to the Professional Golf Association, and the oldest marine park, Marineland.
The state’s western Panhandle is where travellers can find some of the finest beaches in the world. Some other sites worth visiting during your holidays to Florida are Cape Canaveral, Daytona Beach, Universal Studios, Disney World, the Busch Gardens theme park, and Sea World as well as the exquisite waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Climate
