Holidays to Las Vegas

Casinos and gambling are usually a central part of Las Vegas holidays. Visitors can try their luck at a truly mind boggling range of gambling games including roulette, blackjack, poker, baccarat and slot games as well as hundreds of others. Las Vegas casinos can also be visited as destinations in their own right if you fancy only taking in the sights, sounds and experiences of Las Vegas gambling. The casinos feature their own restaurants, bars and visitor areas so you can stay in and around the casino for hours or even days on end.

From Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. to Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, Las Vegas has long been the home of spectacular shows and entertainment. There is truly something for every visitor. The city hosts showgirl revues, lounge bar piano players, dancing, the fantastic Cirque du Soleil shows and much more besides. Las Vegas is truly a city that never sleeps. Even regular visitors are sure to enjoy Las Vegas holidays.

Taking a break from the casinos and indoor shows and entertainment, visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor attractions. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay features sawfish, rays, piranha, crocodiles and many different sizes of sharks. The Shark Reef has 14 different exhibits devoted to different sea predators. Highlights include the acrylic tunnel giving an almost total surround-view of animals, a giant shipwreck and the Touch Pool, where visitors can touch the fish and other sea life.

Visitors will be dazzled by walking or driving along the world famous Las Vegas Strip. Holidays to Las Vegas would not be complete without a visit to this central area of the city. The Las Vegas Strip consists of nearly five miles of hotels, casinos and grand resorts that make up much of what is visually most recognisable about the city. The majority of the largest hotels in the world are on the Strip, with a combined room count of almost 70,000 units. Some of the most famous destinations on the Strip are the Four Seasons, the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, the Casino Royale, the Palazzo and the Venetian.

Las Vegas is close to the world famous Grand Canyon National Park. You can drive to the Grand Canyon to explore it by foot, or on a guided tour. There are also wonderful private flights that can be booked in Las Vegas to view the Grand Canyon from the air. Las Vegas is surrounded by desert, which has its own peculiar beauty.

Whether by day or by night, Las Vegas is a city of superlatives that is almost certain to entertain and amaze in equal measure.
