Sharm El Sheikh Holidays

Where to stay...

But before we get ahead of ourselves, where to stay? Starting with Nabq Bay, this clean, peaceful resort is kept in great shape due to its status as a protected area. Here, mingle with dozens of species of flora and fauna amid the mangroves or dive into the sparkling water to explore the nearby coral reef.
“Wild” (unguided) snorkelling is popular here – happy swimmers bob along as peacefully as the undisturbed wildlife. More adventurous travellers can venture into the desert on one of the many popular quad tours.
Meanwhile, all-inclusive holidays to Om el Sid Hill in the Red Sea Riviera’s stunning peninsular landscape could find you diving, snorkelling or windsurfing in one of the world’s premier beachfronts.
Any holiday to Om el Sid is guaranteed to be absolutely packed with activities, including local attractions such as desert safaris through the mountains, the chance to check out ancient buildings and exotic wildlife, and a range of electric nightlife. Whether you are coming on holidays to Om el Sid for a romantic break away or planning a family holiday, there’s enough to keep you entertained for as long as you can stay awake.
Another favoured part of Sharm is Shark’s Bay, where sunbeds are free and plentiful. Chill out – but don’t forget to go and watch the beautiful fish as they cluster around the pontoon. You don’t even need a snorkel to see them.
And when it comes to all inclusive holidays to Sharm el Sheikh, there’s no shortage of either luxury or value with the hotels. Some of our most popular hotels include Hilton Waterfalls, the Savoy, Hilton Sharks Bay, Renaissance Golden View and Tropitel Naama Bay. Do a search to see them all.

Whats on..

When it comes to nightlife, you can’t go to Sharm El Sheikh and not pay a visit to Soho Square, teeming with cafes, bars, pubs, ice skating, an ice bar, DJs and restaurants. You name it, it’s got it, but make sure you’ve had a siesta as the party goes on from 11pm until nearly dawn, and you’ll need some good haggling skills. Haggling is customary in Sharm. Offer a third to a half of their initial price; when you get to about two-thirds, say it’s your final offer, and if they refuse, walk away.
And don’t forget to also see the dynamic and exciting Il Mercato Promenade, which offers residents and visitors to Sharm El Sheikh an enchanting shopping and entertainment experience away from the city's commotion. One word of warning: it’s a shopaholics’ paradise.
Also highly recommended is the roof terrace over the Camel Bar in Naama Bay – great for watching people on the streets below.
Those seeking beauty are advised to head out in the wee hours to reach the top of Mount Sinai to watch the sunrise. To see the line of torches of the climbers snaking up the mountain can be great, if a bit off-putting because it seems to go on forever! The thrill is to see the sunrise, which changes the colour of the rocks dramatically.
Some say the best views in Sharm are all underwater. At Ras Nasrani, a coral
plateau provides the backdrop for diverse marine life, including fusiliers, barracudas
and electric rays. Just watch out for the morays hiding in the crevices!
For anyone seeking a bit of romance, take a moonlit camel ride to enjoy Bedouin hospitality and a night of stargazing. Lie down on cushions while the guides point out all the constellations and planets. You even get to look at some through a telescope.
Another classic excursion is to hike up Mount Sinai before dawn for the best scenery. The sky is so clear that shooting stars are often visible And then there’s a day trip to St Catherine’s Monastery, where Moses is said to have spoken to God.
