The House, a boutique hotel in Barbados, is now reopening after a refurbishment that lasted for five months. The hotel is part of the Elegant Hotels group and is one of the top luxury hotels on the west coast of Barbados. The hotel only accepts adults as guests and has 34 suites, which have all been redesigned with a contemporary feel. The hotel has been decorated with locally produced artwork and there have been a number of initiatives implemented.
The Ambassador Programme is one of the new initiatives and this is operates 24 hours a day. The aim is to ensure that guests can relax in a soothing environment and to create a ‘home from home’. The new suites have one bedroom and guests taking luxury holidays in these suites will be able to enjoy luxurious extras, including private airport transfers, a massage to ease jet lag, and Nespresso machines in the rooms.
The location of the hotel is right next to Daphne’s, which is a renowned restaurant, and guests have the option of dining there or enjoying meals prepared at Daphne’s in the hotel. Guests will also be able to have a champagne breakfast and afternoon teas, which are complimentary. Leisure activities at the hotel are also plentiful and guests will be able to indulge in water sports such as sailing, snorkelling and water skiing. The next-door neighbour to The House is Tamarind, where there are many spa treatments available. The House has its own fitness centre and classes can be taken next door at Tamarind.
