The De Vere group of luxury hotels is planning to expand with a new property in Edinburgh. This will be the first property in the city for the company, which is just awaiting official approval of its plans. At the moment the company has a property located at Loch Lomond – the Cameron House resort. It is expected that in excess of 100 new jobs could be created as a result of the new development, both full-time and part-time.
The new development is expected to cost in the region of £20 million and there will be luxury amenities such as a swimming pool, a fully equipped health and fitness centre, and plenty of meeting and conference facilities for those who are in the city on business. The rooms will have all of the amenities that are needed for a comfortable and luxurious break in the city, such as top quality linens and the latest entertainment technologies. Dining will also be top class and guests can expect the same high levels of service as at other De Vere properties.
At the present time the De Vere luxury hotels group is also hoping to launch a number of urban village resorts at various locations across the UK. The aim is to expand and firmly stamp its name in the hospitality marketplace. The management of the hotel has declared that the Edinburgh location has become something of a top priority and it is a project that they will relish. De Vere currently has 62 properties across the UK.
