The Hotel Alfonso XIII, another of the luxury brand’s properties in Seville, has also undergone renovation work. Venice and Paris hotels are being renovated at the moment and area due to reopen next year.
The Hotel Maria Cristina is located in San Sebastian and has been a landmark since it opened. It is home to the city’s film festival and the aim with the renovation is to ensure that guests taking luxury holidays experience the local culture.
There are more than 100 luxury rooms at the hotel, as well as 29 suites. These have been given golden furnishings and accessories against pastel decor. The rooms have been given a very feminine design, which emphasises the Art Nouveau details of the building. The restaurant at the hotel focuses on the local Basque cuisine and in the city itself there are many restaurants that have been awarded Michelin stars. Within the hotel there will also be a Chinese restaurant, which serves haute cuisine. In addition there are several bars where guests can while away a few hours while enjoying a relaxing drink in the evening.
