New spa hotel in Italy

25 May 2012

A new luxury spa hotel is being opened on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. This latest addition to the region’s luxury hotels is to be visited by some of Europe’s rich and famous, including royalty from Monaco. The building is a former monastery that dates back to the 17th century. The new hotel is to be named Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel and Spa. It can be found at Cape d’Orso, on the cliff edge, and has been transformed by Bianca Sharma.

The hotel is to have 20 rooms and will retain plenty of the original features of the building. The spa has been given an 80 square metre double treatment suite, which is completely private and which includes a rasul and a steamroom. Guests can also choose to have luxury treatments outdoors in the Treatment Garden, which has two couches.

Guests at the hotel will have access to all of the spa facilities, and those not staying there will be able to purchase a day package. All of the rooms in the spa have been designed to retain the 17th century ceilings and the original walls. The design of the spa has also been carried out with Italian traditions in mind.

Guests taking luxury holidays at the Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel and Spa will also be able to spend time in the hotel’s chapel, which dates back to 12th century. The hotel’s restaurant is to be headed by a top chef and guests will be able to partake in a menu of both traditional and modern dishes.
