This is the Keraton at The Plaza, which has 140 suites and rooms. This is just one of four luxury hotels that the group is opening under this brand over the next six months in Asia. Others include Twelve at Hengshan and ITC Grand Chola in Chennai, India. The current portfolio for the brand has reached 30 different countries.
The brand leader for The Luxury Collection has stated that this growth in the group’s portfolio is a reflection of the international nature of the guests. This particular hotel has been a popular choice for the group, as is part of the heritage of Jakarta and represents a gateway to the city’s culture.
