One of Edinburgh’s top luxury hotels has been given the award of Scotland’s Hotel of the Year 2012 at an awards ceremony that took place recently. The ninth annual Scottish Hotel Awards bestowed the honour on Chester Residence. This is a five star establishment located in the West End of the city. It picked up the award after the judges deemed that this is the type of hotel that is becoming particularly popular now.
Chester Residence is a group of townhouses that has only been open since 2009. It currently features on TripAdvisor’s list of the top 25 hotels in Europe, which ensures that it attracts a great deal of interest from visitors all over the world. The award was collected by the owners of the hotel, Graham and Gillian Wood, who were delighted with it. The ceremony for this particular award has been given the nickname Hotel Oscars.
The hotel is a family business and the award is particularly prized. The owners of the hotel paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of the team in place at the hotel and stated that they will continue to refine and improve all aspects of their service.
Edinburgh is a popular city for those who are looking for luxury holidays, particularly during the summer when the festival season is underway. With so many hotels in Scotland to choose from, this award is a great achievement and a sign that standards are very high.
