New Boutique Hotel for Tel Aviv

16 December 2011

The Rothschild Hotel Ltd group of luxury hotels is to operate a new boutique hotel on the Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. This will be the former Evergreen House, which will become vacant when the current owners – Evergreen Venture Partners – move to different premises within the city. The hotel will have all the facilities that are expected from a boutique hotel, including top quality fixtures and fittings.

The Rothschild Hotel group has already recognised the potential of the city and has already opened another boutique hotel. This is the Diaghilev Live Art Hotel, which is in Mazeh Street and occupies one of the city’s historic buildings. The hotel is so exclusive that there is no sign on the outside of the building.

Rothschild Boulevard is one of the most sought after districts of the city and property prices there have seen something of a boom in recent years. This will be the only hotel on that particular street at the present time, although there have been hotels located there in the past. 25 Rothschild Boulevard was the former New York Hotel, which first opened in 1924.

The tourist industry in Tel Aviv has been affected in recent years by concerns about security and the city has seen relatively little growth in its hospitality industry. However, the boutique hotels in the city have noticed that trade has remained steady and there are now more than 300 hotels in the city that are aimed at tourists and which are doing very well.
