The manager of one of France’s five star luxury hotels has declared that it is the personalised service offered in such establishments that is one of the main things that sets them apart from other types of hotels. Giuseppe Cosmai is the manager of Le Mas Candille, located in Mougins in the south of France. He declared that one of the aims of luxury hotels is to make their guests feel as comfortable as possible, and as though their every need is being catered for.
He states that this applies in particular for hotels such as his own, which perhaps have not many rooms and only offer small restaurants and fewer facilities. The lack of facilities can be made up for with attention to detail and real care from the staff at the hotel.
He appreciates that the larger hotels have a different focus. With hundreds of guests at a time, it is not always possible to provide a completely personalised service. Larger hotels often have business centres, fitness centres and spa facilities, so guests are busier. Those taking luxury holidays at a hotel such as Le Mas Candille need to feel as though they are at home there.
Mr Cosmai also declared that it is possible for luxury hotels to continue to attract plenty of custom when times are hard financially by offering classic luxury holidays and exclusive holiday deals on the back of special events and making the most of the marketing opportunities that are available to them.
