The popular Greenwich Village district of New York City is to get a new luxury boutique hotel. This new property will boast a period building and interiors that have been inspired by Art Deco. The new hotel has more than 100 luxury rooms. The new hotel is to be named The Jade and, in creating the hotel, there has been plenty of inspiration taken from the village and its history.

The House, a boutique hotel in Barbados, is now reopening after a refurbishment that lasted for five months. The hotel is part of the Elegant Hotels group and is one of the top luxury hotels on the west coast of Barbados. The hotel only accepts adults as guests and has 34 suites, which have all been redesigned with a contemporary feel. The hotel has been decorated with locally produced artwork and there have been a number of initiatives implemented.

The De Vere group of luxury hotels is planning to expand with a new property in Edinburgh. This will be the first property in the city for the company, which is just awaiting official approval of its plans. At the moment the company has a property located at Loch Lomond – the Cameron House resort. This is the sixth hotel in Shanghai for this particular brand. The hotel is ideally located in the central part of the city and is perfect for both business and leisure travellers. It is also not too far away from the international airport.

The Starwood group of luxury hotels and resorts has earmarked the Ukraine as its next emerging market. The aim is for the company to expand its operations in the country and there will be a new luxury hotel in the form of the Sheraton Kyiv Olympiysky opening in 2013. The Ukraine will be the focus of new development along with Russia and Tajikistan. It is expected that these areas will form one of the fastest growing markets for the hospitality industry over the next few years.

The Rezidor group of luxury hotels has announced that it is to create a new property in Dubai. This will be the Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Al Jadaf and it will have 300 luxury guest rooms. The scheduled opening date for the hotel is 2015. The company’s management has stated that Dubai and the UAE is becoming a very promising market for this particular brand and it is delighted to be working alongside Aabar Investments to create a luxury hotel.

The Sofitel group of luxury hotels has just opened a new property in the heart of Mumbai. This is just part of the company’s expansion plans for India. The brand is known for its French style and hospitality, and the new property has blended this with Indian traditions to produce the Sofitel Mumbai BKC. The new hotel can be found at Bandra Kurla Complex, which is the growing financial sector of the city. Attractions nearby include the world’s largest diamond trading centre.

The Sofitel luxury hotels brand has just come to Casablanca. This is the economic heart of Morocco and the new hotel is to be named the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche. The new property will be located in Asheville and will be the 60th hotel for the group. The Aloft Asheville Downtown will have more than 100 luxury rooms and suites, and there will be plenty of meeting space available for those who are in the city on business. Much of this will be outdoors, with an Air Level pool deck and an observation deck.

This will be located in the city’s business district and will be close to the America’s Plaza and the World Trade Centre. The hotel will have more than 100 rooms and suites, and has been designed to be warm and welcoming. The management of the hotel has declared that this is the right type of hotel for the area as it allows guests to find out more about the local culture and lifestyle.
