Short Break to New Orleans

New Orleans is a great escape for those who want it all. The city has more restaurants, nighttime entertainment, annual festivals, and quaint hotels, than one can possible take in during a lifetime.

The Nightlife

Many people arrive here for the daytime sightseeing and the nighttime culture. The nightlife in New Orleans is incomparable to any other city in the United States for its diverse cultural offerings and welcoming southern hospitality. The city is divided up into several distinct neighbourhoods, each offering up its own New Orleans experience. Take in an evening of incredible live music at one of the numerous jazz and blues clubs along Frenchmen Street, or join the high rollers at Harrah’s Casino in the heart of this vibrant city. Music

This city is about as famous for its music as it is for its annual Mardi Gras. No matter what part of the city you choose to explore there is sure to be musical culture bubbling up from every street corner. The city of New Orleans is the birthplace for jazz and is just as well known for its gospel, rock, pop and R&B sounds. Arts and Culture

The city is as full of arts and culture as it is lively music. With its old roots firmly in place, New Orleans has a strong foundation and appreciation for the arts when live operatic performances took place as early as 1796. Today the city thrives on numerous galleries, museums and live performance venues. When visiting, bring a sequin dress, funky hat or anything else you wish to wear as you head out for a night on the town for unforgettable music, food and more. New Orleans is abundant with noteworthy culture and history, so much so, that taking in a tour or two while visiting may just prove to be a good way to utilise precious holiday time. Take in a haunted walking tour, pre-war plantations, iconic battlegrounds, historical jazz landmarks, hovercraft the Louisiana bayou to spot alligators, hop aboard a paddlewheel riverboat, learn about voodoo practices or relax in a mule-drawn carriage.
