Holidays to Sunny Beach

Overview of Sunny Beach holidays

Central to all holidays in Sunny Beach are the resort amenities for sunbathing, swimming and water sports, as well as for dining and partying. There are extensive facilities for all of these at Sunny Beach, even if the cost can be expected to be somewhat higher than elsewhere in Bulgaria. The resort has a sufficiently wide selection of services to operate as a self-contained town in its own right, with medical facilities and shopping centres as well as all the hotels, bars and restaurants. Many of the restaurants are of a high standard and also put on live entertainment of some variety, including music, dance and acrobatics, although the prime example of this is probably the Hotel Majestic.

During the daytime water activities are not limited to the beach and if you are taking holidays with children there are water park facilities at hand, with organised transport available from around the resort. Both the Aqua Paradise and Action Aquapark feature a range of slides, chutes and swimming pools so that days can be spent splashing around in the water. There are also several options when it comes to sporting activities in Sunny Beach and the resort is fairly well equipped for tennis and mini-golf, while instruction in various water sports is also available.

For travellers who want to see a little more than the beach and the night-life while visiting Bulgaria, holidays can also include a trip to the beautiful Black Sea town of Nesebâr. Many people may argue that Sunny Beach holidays are not complete without at least a look at this charming town, which has been designated a world heritage site by UNESCO. At high season, the town may struggle to keep its identity, considering the large numbers of visitors at that time, but it is nevertheless worth the trip across the bay from Sunny Beach. There are several picturesque churches to make a look around the streets worthwhile and an ethnographical museum for any occasional rainy day. If you want to look even further afield during holidays in Sunny Beach, then the city of Burgas is also within easy reach.
