Holidays to Bali

Bali is considered to be the most visitor friendly island in Indonesia, so it comes as no surprise that the inhabitants are friendly and willing to help tourists on holidays in Bali get the most out of their experience. Whether you are having a massage at one of the local spas or dining in one of the many wonderful restaurants, every effort is made to satisfy your every need.

Bali is the famed Island of the Gods and has a varied landscape of hills and mountains, with sandy beaches and a rugged coastline. The beaches of Bali are famous for their surfing and diving competitions, and they are quite simply magnificent. You can try your hand at scuba diving, as there are many schools offering visitors on Bali holidays instruction. But it isn't just surfing and beach activities that Bali has to offer its visitors; from the cultural and archaeological sites to bungee jumping, you can do it all in Bali.

As it is a tropical island nature lovers on holidays in Bali will find many exotic, diverse and stunning plants. The Acacia, mangrove and flame tree can be found along the southern coastline and, of course, there are plenty of coconut palms and bamboo trees spread all across the island. The locals use these for the craft items and gifts that they make by hand. The island is also covered with many wonderful flowers, and the delightful aroma from these will take your breath away.

One of the most popular destinations for those on holidays to Bali is the Kintamani Volcano, and on the way you can also visit the village of Batubulan where you will see the Barong and Kris Dance performed. Another popular attraction is the Holy Monkey Forest near Sangeh and, of course, the famous Tanah Lot Temple that was built in the 16th century. Newly opened is the Safari and Marine Park where you can travel around in a safari vehicle and view the 400 animals that they have there.

Indonesia has one of the world's best cuisines, and Bali is no exception. Whether you are eating in a top class restaurant or a stall on the street you cannot help but be amazed by the choices they have on offer. There are plenty of well-known tourist restaurants for you to choose from, and these mostly serve Indonesian or Chinese cuisine. The nightlife in Bali starts very late; it isn't until midnight that the bars and clubs come alive, so if you are planning a night out prepare yourself for a late night. The taxi drivers on Bali are very good at showing you where the best nightlife spots are located, and will gladly take you to any of them.
